About ten years ago the owner of ABS, Gale Gallagher, discovered her talent for helping
clients create effective résumés. Combining this gift with her love of writing inspired her to launch a successful résumé writing business.
Today, as a member of the National Résumé Writers' Association (NRWA), she participates in continuing education in order to maintain her high standards of writing and résumé
construction. Membership also offers the opportunity to stay current with ever-changing conditions in the industry.
Every résumé requires a unique strategy dependent upon the client's individual skills, experience, and education. Quantifiable
achievements - accomplishments where you can demonstrate increased profits, cost savings, improved productivity - are essential to the success of your résumé.
How do we begin?
Once you contract for our services we make the entire process easy for you. You will, however, have some homework. A questionnaire will be forwarded to you for
completion. Once that is done, you return that to us, along with any other documentation that will assist us in preparing your résumé.
After we have reviewed your material, we set up a phone consultation to acquire any additional information we may need to flesh out your qualifications. Following completion
of your first draft, you will have the opportunity to make revisions. There is generally a two-week turnaround to complete the first draft from the time we receive ALL your
information.
It is a source of pride that most of our clients make very minimal changes to our drafts. Once any revisions you request are made and you have signed off on approval, we
finalize your document and present it to you as an E-mail attachment or hard-copy format.
Payment is easy. Upon contract signing, we will be happy to accept payment from you through Discover, Visa or MasterCard. If you do not have a credit card, we will accept a
money order or cashier's check.
Cover Letters
Cover letters provide you the flexibility to highlight your most desirable assets in the format you wish. Cover letters give you the opportunity to address specific skills required
by the potential employer. It can help you sell your personal attributes, not just your skills and experience. A personalized, enthusiastic cover letter substantially increases the
chances that your résumé will launch you on the road to an interview.
